What is the difference between Twill weave and Plain weave fabric？

The Features of Plain weave fabric is many interweaving points, firm texture, stick scraping, smooth surface, positive and negative appearance effect is the same, plain weave fabric density can not be too high, relatively light, good wear resistance, good air permeability. The so-called twill fabric is a complete fabric with at least two warp yarns and two weft yarns interwoven, each warp weft can only have one warp weave point, on the fabric surface by continuous weave points formed oblique lines.

Twill weave is the appearance effect of twill weave on the surface of fabric made up of float or weft thread. The warp and weft yarn of twill fabric is interwoven fewer times than plain fabric, so that the gap between the warp and weft yarn is smaller, and the yarn can be arranged more densely, so that the fabric is dense and thick, so the fabric surface of twill fabric has obvious oblique lines, soft feel, strong three-dimensional sense, gloss and elasticity.
